Attractions.io has announced the appointment of a new chief operating officer, with Ted Ismert taking up the position as the guest experience platform developer continues to rapidly grow operations in 2023.

Following on from recent investment by visitor amenities provider SSA Group, Ismert’s appointment is the latest in an expansion that has seen staff numbers at Attractions.io rise by 59% so far this year.

As COO, Ismert offers more than two decades worth of experience working in areas including mobile app development, enterprise customer support, and digital products.

Joining from Wunderman Thompson Apps, where he was president, Ismert has designed and built solutions that have supported notable brands, including the likes of JetBlue, PGA Tour, and the NBA.

“Coming into an organisation that's poised to grow is very exciting,” said Ismert. “I'm very eager to help shape that growth, drive the commercial side of the business, and scale teams up for the good of the company and its customers.”

In his new role, Ismert will work alongside company CEO and founder, Mark Locker, to focus on enriching existing customer relationships, expanding the professional services team, and extending the company’s reach to new markets. According to Locker, Ismert’s vast experience in mobile technology and commercial operations make him a perfect fit for Attractions.io during the exciting time of growth.

“I look forward to working with Ted to bring our vision to life, helping more attractions to deliver a seamless guest experience that unlocks the full potential in every visit,” said Locker.

In its efforts for further expansion, Attractions.io recently unveiled a new partnership strategy, which the company says will expand its existing integrations network while enhancing collaboration between some of the industry’s leading suppliers and vendors.

Peter O’Dare, Attractions.io’s head of product, also recently shared with Planet Attractions how operators could increase spend and social reach through the Attractions.io interface using a micro-influencing approach and its new photo integrations.
