Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has teamed up with Google Cloud to enhance the visitor experience and optimise business operations across its entire portfolio.

The partnership, announced during the Google Cloud Next Conference in August, will see Six Flags undergo a “digital transformation”, by rolling out Google Cloud’s Vertex AI Conversation and other services across its 27 parks in the US, Mexico and Canada.

The collaboration will also see the introduction of a virtual assistant, powered by Google Cloud’s Vertex AI Conversation, which aims to offer a new level of convenience and personalisation for park guests.

Available on the Six Flags mobile app and park websites later this year, the virtual assistant will help to guide visitors and make personalised recommendations as they plan their day at the parks. On Six Flags’ websites, the assistant will answer customer queries, reducing the need for live agent interaction.

The theme park operator will also integrate Google Cloud’s AI, analytics and infrastructure tools into its digital platform to streamline operations, by boosting efficiency and productivity.

“This partnership will propel us into the future,” said Six Flags CEO Selim Bassoul.

“Leveraging Google Gloud’s generative AI technology will help us transform our operations and, most importantly, enhance our guests’ experiences, making them truly amazing. This is a pivotal moment for Six Flags and the wider amusement park sector.”

Omar Jacques Omran, chief digital officer at Six Flags, said: “This partnership signifies a monumental leap in our strategic direction, ushering in a new era of technological empowerment for Six Flags.

“With Google Cloud’s technology, we’re committed to not only enhancing park operations but also creating unparalleled, personalised guest experiences. We will bring an increased level of agility and responsiveness to our operations, redefining the way we serve our guests and setting new benchmarks in the amusement park industry.”

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian added: “Generative AI can help Six Flags accelerate their ambitions to transform both the customer and employee experience.

“By ingesting and synthesising information across Six Flags’ extensive park portfolio, generative AI will enable the theme park operation to redefine guest experiences, providing more personalised information about rides, entertainment, dining and more.”
