Dynamic media-based attractions supplier Simworx has revealed plans to expand into the sports entertainment sector, after forming a significant new partnership with company C360 View to develop an immersive 360 degree in-stadium viewing experience.

Developed alongside former footballer and England manager Glenn Hoddle, the partnership will see the creation of a “new era in spectator experiences.” The concept is designed to offer a 360-degree perspective of sports events, with viewers able to immerse themselves in the action from every angle as their seat allows them to travel around the stadium during the match.

The experience begins in VIP suites prior to the match. Guests then move to the C360 pods, which will be equipped with lavish seating and integrated touchscreen tablets, offering game replays, fantasy football leagues, in-seat food and beverage ordering and gamification, as well as digital advertising opportunities. The pod will circle the entire stadium, offering new and unprecedented views of the ongoing action, utilising advanced computer systems and laser technology to circumnavigate the pitch.

As they circle the stadium, the pods themselves, both internally and externally, will serve as digital billboards, offering the chance to create significant revenue streams for the venue.

“This integration ensures that all executive suites, regardless of their location, can provide the same exceptional viewing experience, thereby generating higher and more evenly distributed revenues compared to traditional stadium setups,” said Simworx CEO Terry Monkton.

The viewing pods have been designed in a way they can be seamlessly integrated into new stadium designs and have the option to be retrofitted into existing arenas. Most components will be prefabricated off site, making it feasible for retrofit projects to be completed within a single off-season period.

“Beyond enhancing venues, C360 elevates them to coveted destinations for top-tier global sporting events and concerts, thus revolutionising the VIP market and cementing C360-equipped stadiums as the premier choice for corporate hospitality,” said a C360 View spokesperson.
