Malta’s Planet Play has successfully implemented Semnox technology - the first to do so in the country.

Featuring the country’s first indoor race karting track, immersive VR experiences, a suspended obstacle ropes course, an ice skating rink, soft play arena and more, the FEC and tourist attraction has utilised Semnox’s attraction booking software for its self-service kiosks, which customers can use alongside the attraction’s multiple purchasing channels.

Semnox worked alongside consultancy Grant Thornton, who played an active role in solution mapping and installation at the attraction.

“Our technology consulting team identified Semnox as the most suitable partner to deliver the project,” said Grant Thornton. “With implementations in over two thousand sites worldwide and household names like Chuck E Cheese in their portfolio, they had all the credentials to make this engagement a success story.”

In addition to self service kiosks, Semnox’s comprehensive suite of solutions also included attraction scheduling and capacity management, automated access control gates for entry validation, waiver management, and Semnox’s Radian Wristband system for timekeeping in the kids’ play area.

“With Planet Play’s elevated offerings, we wanted to deliver a comprehensive solution to complement its venue needs, one that could evolve with the venue,” said Vinayaka Kamath, Semnox business head in Europe.

“Planet Play is among the first venues to implement the advanced kiosk solution, this is the future of self-service technology in the leisure sector. With sleek design and user-friendly functionality, and cutting-edge technology, the Attraction Kiosk is set to revolutionise the way guests engage with attractions.”

As Semnox continues to expand its footprint globally, the company says that it remains committed to offering comprehensive venue management solutions that drive growth and success for its clients.

Earlier this year, Semnox was named technology partner for Palooza Park, a major theme park in Marrakech, Morocco. Similar to the Malta project, the partnership marked Semnox’s first collaboration with a theme park in Morocco and saw Palooza Park adopt several of Semnox’s venue management technologies for its operations.
