YouTube content creator Sean Dyer - better known as Parkspill - has been missing theme parks so much during the pandemic that he decided to create one inside his own house.
A winner in the fan-voted Clamshell Awards for Best Newcomer Channel, Dyer has made a big splash on the theme park fan scene alongside his co-host Jo, gaining more than 175,000 views since the channel’s creation in October 2019.
The pair’s latest creation is either a strange look into what we’re picturing as that scene in a movie where you explore someone’s inner mind, or one of the most creative posts to come out of the theme park community since the pandemic hit.
“We were both stuck at home bored and the fact we hadn't been on a single ride since October was driving us nuts,” Dyer told Planet Attractions. “We thought a lot about making a 'backyard coaster' but then we thought, let's just make a theme park in our house and vlog it!”
Called ‘Parkspill Park’, the attraction features waltzers, a homemade ghost train and even a Nicholas Cage-themed rollercoaster.
“We just tried to make it as fun as possible so our reactions were genuine,” said Dyer. “Apart from when I played multiple characters anyway!”
We can’t do this justice. It really has to be seen to be believed. Check out the video above.
