CGI studio Red Raion will offer an exclusive preview of its newest title; ‘Around the World in 80 Days - Journey of Wonders’, at this year’s IAAPA Expo.
A reimagining of Jules Verne’s classic novel of the same name, the film is described as an ‘immersive journey of exploration across the new seven wonders of the modern world.’
It takes riders on an epic adventure with iconic adventurer Phileas Fogg and his eccentric valet Passepartout as they travel around the world, searching for clues to discover the whereabouts of fellow explorer Miss Auda, who is waiting for them at a secret location.
The film is available in two versions, with one specially designed for 5D cinemas and VR simulators and another for dome cinemas and flying theatre attractions. Audiences experiencing the film in 5D and VR will travel the world by train, car, ship and horse, meanwhile, those experiencing it in a dome or flying theatre will travel by hot air balloon.

“Around the World in 80 Days is a deeply immersive experience for people of all ages who want to live a magical adventure and discover the most incredible beauties of our world, all without moving from their cinema seats.”

Taking place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from November 14-17, this year’s IAAPA Expo will feature an extensive trade show floor with more than 1,000 exhibitors from around the world and a comprehensive education programme with more than 200 sessions covering topics such as emergency preparedness, community experience, food and beverage and recruitment. A series of exciting networking opportunities will also be on offer.
