Ride supplier HUSS is celebrating after winning two Brass Ring Awards at the recent IAAPA Expo.
HUSS’s Break Dance 5 picked up the Brass Ring Award for Best New Attraction, while its Sky Tower Multimedia won the second-place award for Best New Product Concept.
Break Dance 5 is a compact, spinning ride, with the latest version featuring “next-generation gondolas” that offer easier access and more room, with the spinning ride combining main disc slope and gyroscopic movements to create a “cycloid trajectory.”
“With the Break Dance 5, we have further improved and modernised the well-known concept,” said Lars L. Hartmann, chief Sales and Creative Officer at HUSS. “HUSS has added 30% more power to the attraction and increased the top speed by another 30%”.
Meanwhile, Sky Tower Multimedia is a two-in-one attraction, with the ride combining an observation tower with a 360-degree 3D theatre.
On the ride, guests will descend through an iris-shaped opening to a lower level featuring a large 360-degree cinema offering an immersive multimedia experience. Following the multimedia display, riders will ascend gently upwards as they enjoy the surrounding views through the large panoramic windows. The ride also has no height, weight or age restrictions.
“With the Sky Tower Multimedia, immersive film experiences meet spectacular views,” said Mirko J. Schulze, CEO of Huss.
“The benefits of this innovative concept are the ultra-accessibility, the usability as a highlight in an amusement park or as a stand-alone attraction and the high advertising value as an iconic landmark visible from afar. In addition, this model is easily adaptable to the specific requirements of operators: with individual media content, theming or illumination.”
The IAAPA Brass Ring Awards are considered one of the most important awards in the leisure industry and recognise excellence and outstanding quality in the international world of attractions and entertainment.
