The Disney Treasure cruise ship will set sail at the end of next year, with Disney unveiling its latest offering in a rapid expansion of its popular cruise operation

The Disney Cruise Line (DCL) has unveiled its latest offering, with the upcoming Disney Treasure touted as “an unprecedented expansion” of the company’s ever-growing cruise operation.
Following the Disney Wish, which debuted in 2022, Disney Treasure is the second of four new ships set to be launched by DCL between now and the end of 2025.
Aboard the vessel, 1,246 staterooms will be “inspired by classic Disney tales of adventure”, with accommodation featuring custom artwork and design elements that evoke the exploratory spirit of Disney IPs such as Aladdin, Pocahontas, Up and Encanto.
The ship will set sail for the first time on December 21, 2024, and will feature all-new stories from Disney characters and brands, including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney Parks.
“The Disney Treasure will bring brand-new stories to life, blending one-of-a-kind experiences with the extraordinary entertainment, world-class dining and unparalleled hospitality that make every sailing so memorable,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager for Disney Cruise Line.
Among its experiences, Plaza de Coco is an on-board Mexican themed restaurant that brings to life the film Coco with live music and entertainment. Meanwhile, a themed dining experience called Worlds of Marvel features an appearance from Spider-Man, while the 1923 restaurant gives guests a “taste of old Hollywood”, as well as telling the story of the history of Disney as a company.
The cruise ship will also offer several themed bars, including the Jungle Cruise-inspired Skipper Society, and the Periscope Club, which will take guests on an 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-themed adventure.
In terms of entertainment, Disney Treasure will host three stage productions, including Beauty and the Beast, Seas the Adventure and a soon-to-be-announced brand new show.

Rides will also feature, with a dark ride-water slide hybrid in the form of AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg. Taking riders into the world of Mickey Mouse, guests will experience a number of animated shorts before plunging down 760ft (231.6m) of slides, which offer views of the ocean and the ship itself. The ride is equipped with more than 60 water effects, which bring the story to life.
Returning from the Disney Wish is the Oceaneer Club for kids, which features the Star Wars Cargo Bay, Marvel Superhero Academy, Imagineering Lab and Fairytale Hall. The teens and tweens Vibe and Edge clubs are also back, as is the Small World nursery for babies.
“The Disney Treasure is part of an unprecedented expansion of Disney Cruise Line,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. “We started with the Disney Wish last year, and the Disney Treasure will be the second of four new ships that we’re launching through 2025.”
Disney first announced the Disney Treasure at the 2022 D23 Expo. The 144,000-gross-ton ship is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany and will be the second of a trio of ships to run on liquefied natural gas, a more environmentally-conscious fuel option.
For its inaugural season, the ship's itinerary will include seven-night voyages to the eastern and western Caribbean from Port Canaveral with bookings open to Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club members on September 12 and then to the general public on September 20.
