Leading mobile app platform developer Attractions.io is continuing its commitment to champion the guest experience with a host of new product releases in 2024, with significant enhancements being made to its mapping feature.

Exploring mapping functionality and on the back of the release of an industry-first in-app map with dynamic lighting that premiered at Alton Towers last year, the company will continue focusing on navigational services with the introduction of ‘Multi-Level Maps’.

Offering layered views of complex attractions and indoor venues, the new addition will enhance the exploration of intricate environments in a new map style.

“Venues with multiple levels are not easy to navigate, and they’re rarely linear experiences,” says Attractions.io’s Head of Product, Peter O’Dare.

“By leveraging our deep understanding of the end-to-end guest experience at cultural attractions, we’ve built a multi-level mapping tool that’s tailored to the attractions sector, unlike many of the available out-of-the-box solutions on the market right now.

“Optimising wayfinding at these intricate experiences will really help to ease many of the frustrations guests typically experience during their visits, especially for guests with children who want to run straight to the exhibit or activity that interests them the most.”

Attractions.io will also be expanding the rollout of its nighttime maps feature to Android platforms, as well as adding more third-party integrations to the app’s growing ecosystem and offering enhanced support to integration partners.

From waterpark suppliers and media specialists to creative designers, dark ride producers and operations specialists, Planet Attractions has gone to every corner of the globe to find out what’s hot in 2024. To see the full Supplier Showcase, click here.
