Maxim Zhestkov, the artist behind the digital artwork that accompanied the launch of the Playstation 5 in 2020, has launched a new virtual gallery to showcase his collection of digital artworks.
Called Modules, the new VR experience has been described as a “VR art experience where architecture, sculpture, film and music blend together to immerse viewers into the artist’s world.”
Developed by Zhestkov.Studio, Modules currently features 11 different artworks, each with its own artist commentary, which users can explore from any angle.
The gallery is rendered in real-time and is available on MetaQuest headsets and PC VR. A non-VR version is also available via the online gaming platform; Steam.
“Modules will expand to contain my entire body of work,” said Zhestkov.
“Over the course of the years, the project will grow as the artist grows, expanding into new territories and blurring the boundaries between art, games and reality.”
The gallery is also set to expand, with an Interactive gallery set to launch in the Autumn, and Collaborative and Creative galleries expected in 2024.
