Leading water ride manufacturer WhiteWater presented a broad update on its attractions pipeline during this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, with the company highlighting several key projects at resorts, waterparks and cruise lines around the world.
WhiteWater’s Endless Surf brand has continued to expand, the company revealed during a press conference, with four Endless Surf projects in the UK, US and Mexico announced in the past year.
“It’s been an incredible year for us, with projects launching across three continents,” said Endless Surf president, Paul Chutter.
“Our technology is designed to meet the growing demand for surf as both a sport and a lifestyle, delivering authentic and scalable experiences that resonate with surfers everywhere.”
FlowRider is also making strides, with the Van der Valk Hotel Luxembourg-Arlon in Belgium set to introduce the first FlowSurf Deep Flow River Wave and the Grand Hyatt Dubai preparing to debut the Middle East’s first FlowRider Triple.
The company also highlighted several landmark resort projects across Europe and the Middle East, including Aqualantis at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort in Turkey, the Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa in Jordan, and the Grand Hyatt Dubai.
Its most ambitious undertakings, however, came at Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, where WhiteWater partnered on an expansion that added 20 attractions, including the world’s first Shoot the Chute integrated into a slide tower – a fusion of storytelling and engineering designed to elevate the guest experience.
Future projects promise more firsts. In Ireland, the Funtasia Theme Park will expand its Pirates Cove Waterpark with a Master Blaster and Parallel Pursuit, while Sportoase, in Belgium, is preparing to open Europe’s first interactive gaming water slide in early 2026. Meanwhile, in Turkey, Land of Legends is building what will become Europe’s tallest slide, adding to a record-breaking lineup of attractions.
At sea, WhiteWater’s partnerships with cruise lines continue to grow, with Carnival Cruise Line’s new Carnival Festivale set to debut six slides and a splash pad in 2027, while Norwegian Cruise Line prepares to launch the six-acre Great Tides Waterpark on Great Stirrup Cay in 2026, featuring 19 slides and the Caribbean’s only four-person family raft ride.
The company also revealed several exciting new product partnerships. Among these is the Soaky Mountain Waterpark in Tennessee, US, which introduced Wall Runner, a ride that delivers controlled lateral drift to heighten the ride experience.
Meanwhile at Wisconsin Dells, US, the Covered Boomerango allows indoor parks to integrate zero-G walls that extend outside their building footprints, doubling as architectural features. While Land of Legends in Turkey is set to debut the Helix Twist, a slide combining twisted geometry and visual illusion to heighten anticipation both on-ride and off, in 2026.
“We’ve always seen ourselves as partners, not just suppliers,” said Rainer Maelzer, president of WhiteWater ERA GmbH. “Every park has its own identity, and our job is to listen carefully and bring that to life. That’s the difference between delivering a slide and delivering an attraction that keeps guests coming back.”
