Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition has been touring since 2012

A major travelling exhibition is about to make the final stop of a multi-year world tour, when Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition arrives in Singapore on January 30.
Opening at the ArtScience Museum on January 30, the Star Wars-themed exhibition has toured the world since August 2012, with the popular show seen by more than two million people during its eight-plus-year run.
An interactive experience, the exhibition, created by X3 Productions, explores the theme of identity in the Star Wars universe, focusing particularly on the characters Luke and Anakin Skywalker.
The experience is divided into three sections: Origins, Influences and Choices. It examines how factors - such as species, genetics, parents, culture, mentors, friends, events, occupation, personality and values - shape identity.
On display as part of the exhibition are more than 200 objects from the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art archive, including original props, costumes, artwork, production notes and models from the Star Wars trilogy, its prequel trilogy and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as well as the animated series; Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Visitors will also be able to get up-close looks at droids R2-D2 and BB-8, and other characters including Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Chewbacca and the Stormtroopers.
Models of the Millenium Falcon and the Star Destroyer will also be on display, alongside early concept drawings, costume designs and storyboards.
Guests can also undertake their own ‘Identity Quests’, an interactive experience that uses RFID wristbands that enable guests to learn more about the characters and discover who they are within the Star Wars universe.
Visitors can also create their own ‘Star Wars Hero’ - a personalised character from one of 16 different species within the Star Wars universe.
“Star Wars Identities uses original artwork from the epic space saga to explore human identity in an innovative way,” said Honor Harger, executive director of the ArtScience Museum.
“As visitors embark on a voyage of discovery in the exhibition, we encourage them to ponder the motivation and forces that shape who we are as individuals.”
The exhibition will open this Saturday, with the event concluding its run on June 13, 2021.
