The UK’s first TikTok experience is coming to London, with a pop-up themed experience based on the app enabling creators to make and share mini-videos set to music or fun sound effects.

Called the TikTok For You House, the experience at the Westfield Shopping Centre features several different rooms, including a kitchen and dressing room, serving as backdrops for different types of videos, such as viral recipes and beauty and transformation challenges.

The experience opens on July 22 and will run until August 8. It will enable fans to meet famous TikTok influencers, such as Ehiz Ufuah, Poppy O’Toole, Ben Black, Jeremy Lynch and Kyle Thomas.

Visitors will be able to book coaching sessions, where they will learn how to create their own mini-videos, while parents and guardians can educate themselves on keeping their children safe on the platform.

Attendees will also be able to book the space to create their own TikTok content and will receive complimentary TikTok merchandise.

“Creators are at the very heart of the TikTok experience, and to be able to celebrate them in real life with this incredible activation at Westfield London is a unique chance for our community to see the For You feed brought to life,” said Holly Harrison, fashion and retail brand partnerships, TikTok. “The experience of video and retail are becoming increasingly intertwined.”

Harita Shah, marketing director for UK events at Westfield’s parent company, Uniball-Rodamco-Westfield, said: “TikTok has become a cultural phenomenon. It’s where many of our visitors are getting their inspiration from, whether that’s fashion trends, the newest home styling, influencer of foodie fads.

“Having a physical space at Westfield London gives TikTok the chance to immerse shoppers and new creators in a full 360 experience where the best of the online platform merges with a real-life experience. The TikTok House will bring together community and creativity, which is at the heart of what both brands do.”
