Dynamic media-based attractions specialist Simworx will have a functioning AGV Dark Ride unit on its booth (1728) at this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, with visitors able to get a close up look at the technology on the trade show floor.

The UK-based company will also be showcasing several new ride concepts, including Overdrive - a dark ride concept developed in partnership with experiential design firm Katapult. Through the experience, guests role-play as cops and robbers in an adrenaline-fuelled police chase through a metropolis.

The new concept also showcases the capabilities of Simworx’ AGV dynamic trackless ride system and, according to the company, demonstrates the new heights that dark rides are capable of reaching.

Simworx will also be previewing its Pegasus Flying Theatre attraction, which is aimed at venues with smaller footprints. Featuring dynamic seating, the concept sees guests leaning against a front restraint, sat in a motorbike position with their legs on either side. This seating position is designed to immerse guests in the on-screen action and can accommodate various storylines, including flying animals, jet bikes and rockets.

Alongside these new concepts, Simworx will also be showcasing its full portfolio of media-based dynamic attractions, including its Immersive Tunnels, Stargazers and Flying Theatre attractions, several of which have been integrated into its new Ferrari X attraction.

“We’re enthusiastic that visitors to the show are going to love seeing one of our AGVs up close and in person, and how we have designed it to work to maximise the class-leading features it provides,” said Simworx CEO, Terry Monkton.

“We’re very much looking forward to meeting with our valued clients, suppliers, and media and theme park design partners during the show and hopefully some new prospective clients as we reconnect with our industry peers in our home country.”

Taking place at Excel London in the heart of the British capital, this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe will feature an extensive trade show floor with more than 500 exhibitors taking part, including Planet Attractions.

On the show floor, the Planet Attractions Media Zone will be located at Booth 234. The show will also feature several networking opportunities and a comprehensive education programme, including a panel hosted by Planet Attractions' editor-in-chief, Tom Anstey, titled ‘How to Make Friends and Influence People - Working with Influencers’. The session takes place September 15 from 10:30 - 11:30 am.

To book a meeting with Planet Attractions at IAAPA Expo Europe or for exhibitors to book an interview slot in the Media Zone, please send an email to our publisher Paul Thorman, who can be contacted at [email protected].
