Simworx, a specialist in media-based attractions, has appointed Paul Kent to the role of global business development manager.
Replacing Ed Pawley, Kent comes with a wealth of experience gleaned from more than 30-years in the entertainment industry, including a 20-year stint at audio-visual specialist Electrosonic and two years as a technical project manager with Jack Rouse Associates (JRA).
He has also held roles in design, consulting and site management for several key sectors of the attractions industry, including theme parks, live shows, science centres, museums, retail environments and corporate communications.
Kent has also served as chairman of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) EMEA division and a committee member of the IAAPA EMEA Education Committee.
In his new role, he will be responsible for leading business development, driving sales and maintaining client relationships.
“I’m thrilled to begin the next chapter of my career with Simworx, they have a vast product range that I’m looking forward to getting acquainted with,” he said.
“Simworx is a company I have a lot of admiration for and I’m looking forward to showing everyone what they have to offer,”
Terry Monkton, Simworx CEO, said: “We’re really pleased to have Paul joining our team, he’s going to be a real asset for our continued growth. I’ve known Paul for many years so I’m looking forward to working with him to promote Simworx’s range of media-based attractions.”
