New education facility opens at Black Country Living Museum

A new learning and schools facility has opened at the Black Country Living Museum (BCLM) in Dudley, UK.

A new learning and schools facility has opened at the Black Country Living Museum (BCLM) in Dudley, UK.

Increasing the museum’s capacity to host educational groups, the new Museum Conference and Learning Centre is housed inside the museum’s former admissions building and features two classrooms, a lunch area and gift shop. It is decorated with artwork created by local schoolchildren.

The new facility was financially supported by the Garfield Weston Foundation and the Clive Richards Foundation.

“Being able to provide a dedicated space to enhance their visit with workshops and sessions in new classrooms allows us to add value to the experience, both for teachers and pupils,” said BCLM’s director of programmes Carol King.
