The UK Theme Park Awards are set to return in 2024, with the general public now able to send in their nominations for Britain’s best parks and related attractions.

Split across 22 categories, awards include the likes of Best New Attraction, Best Reimagined Attraction, Best Theme Park for Families and Theme Park of the Year.

Organised by ThemeParks-UK, the 2023 edition of the awards saw Chessington named Theme Park of the Year, thanks in part to its brand-new Jumani-themed coaster and wider themed area. Selected by a combination of expert judges and public votes, the awards are wildly popular, with the 2023 edition seeing 229,427 public votes cast.

From now until June 12, nominations for the 2024 awards are open, with the public able to submit a nomination at ukthemeparkawards.com. Ahead of the public vote later in the year, a shortlist will be compiled using the public nominations and with the help of the judging panel.

“With more than 220,000 public votes last year, the awards are a great way to celebrate the very best UK theme parks,” said Lawrence Roots, Founder of ThemeParks-UK.com. “I’m so pleased that the awards are returning this year and with a range of new categories.”

Once a shortlist has been finalised, the public vote will take place from July 22 until September 1. These votes will be combined with the judges to generate the final results, which will then be announced in this year’s awards, taking place September 19.
