The soon-to-be-former British Prime Minister might be out of a job soon but Madame Tussauds has seen the funny side of things, placing a waxwork of Boris Johnson outside a Job Centre in Blackpool.
Following months of political controversy, Johnson announced his resignation as Prime Minister yesterday (July 7), though will not actually leave his position until a new leader is elected.
The model, which was only unveiled two months ago at the Madame Tussauds attraction in Blackpool, but just like the Prime Minister’s time in office, the waxwork has had an unexpectedly short stay at the museum.
Shortly after announcing his intention to step down, the Tussauds waxwork lookalike appeared outside the Job Centre in Blackpool, while in the museum, the display had been updated with a sign saying ‘vacancy’ where the Prime Minister used to stand.
Madame Tussauds has confirmed that the waxwork will officially leave the museum when Johnson leaves his position in the Autumn.
