London’s Natural History Museum (NHM) has partnered with Universal Products & Experiences to open a themed pop-up shop to celebrate the recent cinematic release of Jurassic World Rebirth.
Open until September 7, the pop-up is located in the museum’s main retail space, which has been transformed into a tropical island, to replicate the film’s setting.
Visitors will come face to face with figures of Titanosaur and Quetzalcoatlus – the main species featured in the film – as well as a giant dinosaur egg, while young visitors will be able to dig for fossils in the new sandpit table.
The shop will also offer a host of Jurassic World-inspired merchandise, including books, toys, games accessories and official apparel, with all proceeds from the shop, including online purchases, being put towards the museum’s charitable mission.
“Fictional franchises such as Jurassic World can spark a real love and wonder for the natural world and provide a brilliant gateway for curious minds to engage with our vital work and science research,” said Claire Bevan, head of retail and customer contact at the NHM.
