Disney has revealed concept art of the upcoming San Fransokyo Square area at the Disneyland Resort in California, USA.
Located in California Adventure, the land will replace Pacific Wharf and is inspired by the 2014 animation Big Hero 6. It will offer character meet and greets as well as several reimagined food and beverage venues and new retail options.
San Fransokyo Square has been under development for the past several weeks, with construction on the San Fransokyo Gate Bridge, at the land’s entrance, having begun at the end of June.
Once complete, San Fransokyo Square will be decorated with street art and colourful banners celebrating the Big Hero 6 team for their victory over Yokai.

It will officially open in August, however, from July guests will be able to sample new menu items at the Lucky Fortune Cookery and the Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería. New items will also be added to the menus of established eateries Cocina Cucamonga and Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop.
It will also feature Aunt Cass Café, a bakery run by Hiro’s aunt, as well the Hamada Bot Shop, which serves as the Big Hero 6 team’s inventors workshop, where guests will be able to meet beloved characters Hiro and Baymax.
The offering is completed by Rita’s Turbine Blenders, a drink dispensary serving margaritas and other cold drinks, and the San Fransokyo Maker’s Market, which will offer Big Hero 6-themed merchandise including apparel and homeware.
