David Willrich named new Experience UK chair

Trade body Experience UK has named David Willrich as its new chair

Experience UK - the trade body representing British companies in the visitor experience sector - has named David Willrich its new chair of the executive board.

A former president of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) and founder of his own AV company D J Willrich, Willrich has served as an integral part of the themed entertainment and visitor attractions communities for more than 40 years.

Starting his career in 1977, Willrich would establish and operate and AV department at the National Motor Museum Beulieu in the south of England. In 1986 he would launch D J Willrich, a company which has worked with some of the world’s leading museums, heritage projects and themed attractions. Willrich was elected TEA President in 2016, serving a two year tenure.

Willrich now becomes Experience UK chair, replacing Simworx CEO Terry Monkton, who ends a two year tenure which saw the trade body propelled to new heights.

“I feel very privileged to take on this role at such an exciting time in the sector and thrilled to continue supporting Experience UK and its partners in the accelerated achievement of their goals,” said Willrich. “I’m looking forward to what we will achieve together.”
