Experiential design firm Conductr has partnered with Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) to launch a new, first-of-its-kind premium LED active entertainment experience aboard the Norwegian Aqua.
Called Glow Court, the attraction is described as ‘the world’s first’ outdoor digital and LED sports arena and is designed to deliver a diverse range of immersive experiences, including sports-themed skill games, fitness challenges and original digital gameplay in a single venue.
The arena consists of an interactive LED floor and adjacent LED wall and combines real-time reactive media with interactive elements, including haptic feedback, dynamic lighting and augmented reality (AR) overlays to immerse players in the action without the need for wearable or handheld devices.
Glow Court utilises the Norwegian Aqua’s underused top deck and features bespoke marine-grade LED technology, developed by Conductr to be impact-resistant and fully weatherproof to withstand the demands of open-air maritime use.
Conductr also created a two-tiered proprietary tracking system that accurately tracks guest movement. The system uses advanced sensors and Conductr’s custom software engine to enable native interaction, rendering the technology invisible to players so they are able to engage instinctively.

Operated by guests, Glow Court features an extensive library of immersive media, with guests able to switch experiences at the touch of a button.
The content has been designed by Conductr to deliver quick, personalised and interactive experiences, encourage group play and create memorable moments that drive repeat visits.
“Glow Court is the world’s first active entertainment platform of its kind. It’s not just a sports court; it’s a fully interactive space that transforms in seconds, switching between games, fitness challenges and real-time content with the tap of a button,” said Conductr CEO and co-founder Peter Cliff.
“Powered by our own LED surface technology and motion tracking, Glow Court brings real gameplay to life without the need for wearables. Players can dive into fast-paced games or take part in group physical challenges that blend physical movement with quick thinking.”
Conductr COO and co-founder Jos Van Der Steen said: “Innovation isn’t just about pushing boundaries. It’s about delivering scalable, commercially viable solutions that enhance guest experiences while making operational sense.
“Glow Court is a major step forward in how interactive technology is integrated into high-traffic outdoor environments. Developing a system that is durable, seamless and intuitive meant rethinking everything from software engineering to hardware resilience.
“We’ve built a flexible, high-impact solution that transports underused spaces into valuable guest experiences, proving that innovation and practicality can work hand in hand.”
