Brogent Technologies has partnered with Japanese entertainment company Toho Co to develop a brand new flying theatre experience based on the iconic Godzilla IP.

Called Godzilla The Ride, the film will debut globally in the Summer across Brogent’s i-Ride flying theatre venues - in both leading theme parks and entertainment centres.

Written, directed and produced by Academy Award winner Takashi Yamazaki, the experience follows Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle, which Yamazaki also created.

Featuring detailed visual effects and high image quality, the new film’s story is under wraps, though Yamazaki has promised that Godzilla will face its biggest enemies.

“I am thrilled to return to Godzilla’s world from the passenger seat,” said Yamazaki. “What powerful adversaries will emerge? Where will this ride take us next? As a ride enthusiast, I eagerly anticipate my first experience and am working closely with our team to create the most exhilarating and immersive Godzilla adventure yet.”

With the addition of Godzilla The Ride to Brogent’s IP portfolio, the company says that not only does it reinforce its leadership in immersive attractions, but also offers theme park and flying theatre operators a unique opportunity to elevate their entertainment offerings.

“With the global rise of Japanese anime and the growing demand for immersive and IP-driven attractions, this collaboration delivers a high-quality experience poised to captivate audiences worldwide, promising world-class content that enhances the guest experience and creates lasting value for Brogent’s collaborative partners,” said Brogent.

Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle is currently showing at Seibuen Amusement Park in Japan. Yamazaki earned the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for Godzilla Minus One, which was released in November 2023 and earned more than US$113m at the box office.
