Brian Robinson, chief creative officer at Universal Creative, has shared his insight on the creative story behind the Epic Universe Preview Center at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk.
Offering a sneak peek at the upcoming Epic Universe’s five immersive worlds, the Preview Center for Universal Epic Universe was imagined by a team of more than 500 people within Universal Creative.
Before beginning construction on a project, the teams craft a model to use throughout the development process to visualise new worlds and attractions. The Preview Center marks the first time one of these models has been placed on public display at Universal Orlando Resort. The giant model showcases the entire Epic Universe park and allows guests to get a look at the upcoming rides and attractions through augmented reality.
“This center was designed to give you an artistic view into the craft of building our iconic park,” said Robinson.
“At the heart of the experience and one of the foundational aspects of our creative process is the Epic Universe model.
“The craftsmanship and detail are something to behold and through augmented reality, our model comes to life.”
The Preview Center also features various photo opportunities and exclusive merchandise for guests to further explore Epic Universe. The Preview Center invites guests to transport themselves into a must-see experience that showcases the world-class storytelling and groundbreaking technology that will come to life when the park opens in 2025.
