Manufactured by WhiteWater, the 129ft (40m) slide features a super-bowl element and is ridden on a two-person innertube. <br /><br /> Featuring a synchronised projection-mapped video display and an orchestral score, as the rider reaches the bowl, they circle around and find themselves surrounded by marine life including schools of fish, manta rays, humpback whales and sharks. They are then shot into a lazy river where the one-minute experience ends. <br /><br /> “Aquatica Orlando is proud to welcome the all-new Tassie’s Underwater Twist to our park, with its one-of-a-kind immersive experience and adrenaline-pumping twists and turns”, said Brad Gilmour, president of Aquatica Orlando. <br /><br /> “We've crafted an experience that will not only delight slide enthusiasts but also create lasting memories for families and friends. With Tassie's Underwater Twist, we invite guests to dive into an underwater world of wonder, where fun and excitement meet curiosity and education.” <br /><br /> The slide, which can host up to 500 people per hour, opened in March ahead of the Spring Break period. The family-friendly ride is suitable for both adults and children, though those shorter than 48 inches must wear a life jacket. <br /><br /> Operated by United Parks and Resorts (formerly SeaWorld Entertainment), the company is aggressively expanding its ride and attractions quota at its parks across the US.
