IAAPA has revealed the speaker line-up for IAAPA Honors 2025, with speakers including Europa-Park owner Roland Mack, IAAPA president Jakob Wahl and Therme Group CEO Dr Robert C. Hanea

IAAPA has unveiled the speaker line-up ahead of its 2025 IAAPA Honors event.
Taking place at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany, from April 28 - April 30, 2025, this year’s event will feature a comprehensive speaker programme with highlights including a fireside chat helmed by Europa-Park owner and founder Roland Mack.
Mack will be joined by IAAPA president and CEO Jakob Wahl and Europa-Park managing partners Thomas Mack and Michael Mack in a conversation that will explore the park’s evolution since its founding in 1975. The panel will also share the challenges faced and the innovations that have contributed to the park’s success over the past fifty years.
Also speaking is Therme Group CEO and founder Dr Robert C. Hanea, who will share his vision for the company’s future, as well as details of the recently announced ‘Islands of Sky’ project. Hanea will also highlight how Therme Group, which operates indoor water parks, is driving change in the eco-conscious leisure sector and implementing the latest technologies to create immersive, wellbeing-led destinations.
The line-up also includes SnowWorld CEO Wim Hubrechtsen, who will deliver a keynote sharing the company’s commitment to sustainability and discussing SnowWorld Landgraaf, one of the largest indoor ski resorts in Europe. In addition, Hubrechtsen will also offer attendees forward-looking strategies designed to redefine traditional guest experiences.
Other speakers include Disney Live Entertainment project manager Stephanie Morehead, AENDRE managing director Eric Jafari, Europa-Park Talent Academy founder and CEO Katja Mack, Pleasure Beach Resort CEO Amanda Thompson and Thomas Buijtenweg, lecturer at the Academy for AI, Games and Media at Breda University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands.
Discussions will cover a diverse range of topics, including AI, storytelling, guest behaviour, culinary experiences and workforce challenges.
IAAPA Honors 2025
IAAPA’s annual award celebration, IAAPA Honors recognises excellence in the attractions and leisure industries.
Taking place from April 28 – April 30, 2025, this year’s event will offer a packed itinerary, featuring EduTours of Europa-Park, as well as a comprehensive education programme and a host of exciting networking opportunities.
Special events include the IAAPA Brass Ring Awards showcase and presentation, the Individual Achievement Awards Gala and Honors Wrap-up After Party.
