Adventure Cove, a new immersive land aimed at families, is set to open at the Drayton Manor theme park in Staffordshire, UK, this summer.
Opening on July 30, Adventure Cove forms the first phase of a redevelopment plan by park operators, Looping Group. It’s a nautical-themed area offering a number of family-friendly attractions including several new additions such as Tidal Towers and Wave Slinger.
Aimed at younger visitors, Tidal Towers is an adventure playground offering rope bridges and slides with an overlooking terrace for parents to relax in. While riders of Wave Slinger can experience the sea breeze firsthand as they’re sent soaring into the sky.
Other new additions include Stormforce 10, a thrill ride designed in partnership with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to simulate a lifeboat rescue mission, and the River Rapids, where guests travel through a cartoon fishing port.
Existing rides, such as Shockwave, have also been repainted in bright colours to match the nautical theme.
“We’ve loved having visitors back in the park so far, and we can’t wait to introduce them to Adventure Cove this summer,” said William Bryan, MD at Drayton Manor.
“We’re really pleased with how the area has come together and to have seen our vision brought to life. We’ve been working closely with our local contractors and are hugely grateful to them and the support of Looping Group for this new development.”
