London’s Natural History Museum was the British capital’s most visited attraction in 2022, new statistics have revealed.

According to the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA), the museum received 4.65 million visitors in 2022, a 196% increase from the previous year.

The British Museum was the second most visited London attraction, receiving 4.1 million visitors, while the Tate Moden and the Southbank Centre received 3.88 million and 2.95 million visitors respectively.

“These figures show that visitors flocked back to their favourite places in 2022 to breathe, heal, repair and to enjoy special moments with special people in special places,” said ALVA director Bernard Donoghue.
