Merlin Entertainments has officially launched its latest Peppa Pig Theme Park, with the major new attractions now open in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas.
The third Merlin-owned Peppa Pig Theme Park to open globally, the new site represents a significant investment of over US$40m (€38.1m, £31.4m), offering families an immersive experience that brings the beloved characters of the brand to life.
Merlin has enjoyed great success with its existing Peppa Pig theme parks, including the first, which opened in Florida in 2022 and the second, which opened in Günzburg, Germany, in 2024. Unlike these earlier sites, which are integrated with existing Legoland Resorts, the Dallas-Fort Worth location is the first to stand as an independent destination, reflecting the growing global demand for the Peppa Pig brand.
In a statement celebrating the opening, Fiona Eastwood, CEO of Merlin Entertainments, highlighted the significance of the new park as a testament to the enduring popularity of Peppa Pig.
“Bringing world-famous entertainment brands to life sits at the heart of what we do,” she said. “Our partnership with Hasbro makes all this possible, and I know how much our Merlin Magic Making creatives have enjoyed working with their team. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Hasbro over the coming years as we bring Peppa Pig to new audiences and create even more joy for families and young children for years to come.”
The new park boasts a variety of age-appropriate rides, including Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster, Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure, and Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride, alongside nine themed play areas including Peppa’s Treehouse and Muddy Puddles Splash Pad. Guests can also enjoy live shows featuring popular characters from the series at Mr. Potato’s Showtime Arena.
“Alongside valued partners like Merlin Entertainments, we continue to deliver the play experiences that reflect the real first experiences of our littlest fans and empower them with the confidence to treat every first step as a new adventure,” said Matt Proulx, senior vice president of Global Experiences, Partnerships, and Music at Hasbro. “What they see in the series, and play with at home as toys, suddenly comes to life, becoming a tangible and immersive experience right before their eyes.”
In addition to its theme parks based on Peppa Pig, the new attraction adds to the expanding Peppa Pig portfolio within Merlin’s global network. The brand now extends across multiple experiences ranging from standalone theme parks to World of Play installations in locations like the US, Europe, and China, as well as smaller immersive worlds within existing Merlin resorts.
The Dallas-Fort Worth Peppa Pig Theme Park is also a Certified Autism Centre, ensuring that families of all abilities can enjoy the park’s attractions. This certification, awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), guarantees accessible features such as sensory-friendly spaces, wheelchair-accessible paths, and detailed guides to help guests plan their visit according to individual needs.
