Art and entertainment collective Meow Wolf has partnered with audio simulation platform Spatial to create a ‘never before seen’ pop up experience at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.
Currently, few details are known about the experience, however, it will take place inside an ‘interdimensional portal’, called The Spatial Holodeck, and has been described as ‘an experience with infinite potential of immersive technologies to enhance human experiences in real-world environments.’
In addition, several Meow Wolf personnel will participate in panels throughout the festival, including Meow Wolf CCO Ali Rubinstein, who will discuss the future of entertainment through multi-sensory experiences, storytelling and engagement as part of a panel called Metawhat? The Future of Real-World Entertainment. Meanwhile, senior creative director Genell Hoechstetter, a leader in the field of immersive experiences, will speak on a panel entitled Trends and Challenges for Experiential Culture.
