Lego has launched a new retailtainment pop-up experience that will tour several major shopping centres across the UK this summer.
Called The Lego Pop & Play Tour, the free 30-minute experience is designed to encourage creativity and will feature several activity stations inspired by different Lego IPs.
Guests can build cars and other vehicles with Lego City, decorate cupcakes with Lego Dots and go on a scavenger hunt, searching for balloons and horses with Lego Friends. The experience also features a Lego Vidiyo studio where visitors can create their own music.
After completing each station, guests will receive a rosette. Guests who collect two or more rosettes can exchange them for a free gift at the Lego Store.
“Summer 2020 was disappointing for many families, so we hope this free, family event helps make up for it and gives them the chance to unleash their creativity,” said Alison Wood, retail director of UK Lego Stores.
“With Lego City, Friends, Dots and Vidiyo, we’ve ensured there’s something for all interests, whether that be arts and crafts, vehicles or music,” she added.
The tour begins on August 7 at the Bargate in Southampton and will make stops at Liverpool, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Bristol. It runs until September 12.
