From The Industry: Disney’s new dress code, COVID-safe cruise excursions and the art of noodles

In the latest edition of From The Industry, Disney’s new appearance guidelines for cast members, how MSC Cruises created safe shore excursions during the pandemic and the art of the cup noodle.



Starting with Attractions Magazine, Disney has announced changes are coming to the “Disney Look” that will allow cast members to find more flexibility in how they express themselves at work through their appearance, with an emphasis on gender inclusivity.

As a result of the rule changes, cast members will now be able to explore greater freedoms in their self-expression with respect to hair, facial hair, fingernails, jewelry, visible tattoos and costume choices.

In this interview, Strickler spoke about his career, as well as explaining how visitors to the park are immersed in a land of cartoons and superheroes through rides, F&B, retail and live entertainment
