The Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts will return for its fifth edition in January.

The annual festival, described by Disney as a celebration of art, food and entertainment, will open on January 8 and run until February 22 2021 at its Epcot park in Orlando, Florida, US.

Showcasing all forms of creative expression, the festival will feature multiple art galleries exhibiting works from more than 100 artists - both Disney and visiting - as well as live performances and culinary experiences.

A host of interactive experiences will be available in the park, including Figment’s ‘Brush with the Masters’, where visitors can learn about art on a scavenger hunt around Epcot’s World Showcase.

At the Animation Academy, visitors are taught how to draw their favourite Disney characters by Disney animators, while in the Expression Section they can contribute to a giant communal artwork.

In the Wonderful Walk of Colourful Cuisine, guests use their Festival Passport to buy and experience food from different cultures, receiving a complimentary treat when the walk is completed.

Other experiences include living artwork photo opportunities, where guests appear in famous works of art and Enemy Ink, where they can create their own t-shirts.

New for 2021 is ‘The Disney Songbook’, a celebration of Disney lyricists and composers including Disney legend Alan Menken.

At World Showplace, guests can see ‘Visual Art in Performance’, a high-energy performance where a visual artist paints Disney characters in just a few minutes; and ‘Art Defying Gravity’, a “spectacle of thrilling strength acts that defy gravity and the imagination.”

The festival is currently expected to go ahead as planned, however, could change depending on COVID restrictions in Orlando.
