The Universal Resort theme park in Beijing has been closed due to Covid-19 prevention measures.
This is the second time the theme park, which opened in September last year, has been closed as a result of anti-Covid measures.
“We will continue to assess the impact on operations and strive to resume operations as soon as possible,” said the operator on the social media platform Weibo.
“At the same time, we will continue to carry out a series of work related to epidemic prevention and control, such as deep cleaning, disinfection and nucleic acid testing.”
Despite having some of the toughest anti-Covid measures in the world, cases are rising in Beijing. China’s zero-Covid policy has seen cities and their attractions repeatedly shut down over small numbers of infections.
Yesterday (October 26), Beijing reported 19 symptomatic infections and one asymptomatic case out of its population of more than 21 million people.
