Behind the Attraction: New Disney+ series takes a look at some of Disney’s most iconic attractions

Disney has released a new docuseries exploring how it managed to bring some of its most popular attractions to life

Behind the Attraction is streaming worldwide right now on Disney+

A new documentary series from Disney is offering fans of its parks a look behind-the-scenes at some of the most popular and iconic attractions in its history.

Executive produced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and directed by Brian Volk-Weiss, Behind the Attraction shows off behind-the-scenes moments from Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Parks and Resorts, to tell the story of how Disney brings its attractions to life.

As well as looking at new additions, the show also looks at the process to give new life to older attractions, for example the transformation of Twilight Zone Tower of Terror into Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout.

Through the series, viewers will hear from a number of Imagineers, including Kim Irvine, who most recently worked on the reimagined Jungle Cruise, the legendary Joe Rohde, and Scott Trowbridge, who recently oversaw the creation of the hyper-immersive Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

The first five episodes of Behind the Attraction are available to stream now on Disney+, with further episodes coming later this year. Episodes 1-5 look at Jungle Cruise, The Haunted Mansion, Star Tours, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Space Mountain. The following five episodes will explore Disney’s Castles, Small World, Disney’s transport system and the Hall of Presidents.
