Alton Towers has released details of three new attractions coming to the popular British theme park’s CBeebies Land later this year.

Set to open in spring, the new attractions at the theme park and resort in Staffordshire include interactive live shows, an adventure land and an immersive experience. These experiences will be based on IPs including Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures, Hey Duggie, JoJo & Gran Gran and Bing.

In Hey Duggie’s Big Adventure Badge, guests will be able to climb, slide and bounce as they try to earn their own Big Adventure Badges, while a Hey Duggie live show, called The Map Badge, will be added to the entertainment line-up.

Guests can explore GranGran’s house in the immersive experience JoJo & Gran Gran At Home, while Dinosaur enthusiasts will experience pre-historic sights and sounds in Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig.

Meanwhile, Big Fun Showtime, with Bing and Flop from Bing, will offer a full events schedule where visitors can meet some of CBeebies biggest stars.

Bing fans will be able to extend their experience with a sleepover in one of several new Bing-themed rooms coming to the CBeebies Land Hotel.

The new attractions form part of a wider development plan for the park, which will include the addition of a new interactive bug trail alongside the new attractions.

“These new additions will provide a truly immersive experience for young fans and really captivate their imaginations. We’re sure both parents and children will love experiencing these fun additions,” said Larry Roles, marketing director for the Alton Towers Resort.

Natasha Spence, head of attractions, live entertainment at BBC Studios, said: “CBeebies Land offers a brilliant and unique opportunity for young children and their families to experience some of their favourite CBeebies shows and friends as they are brought to life.”

“The additions of the brand-new Hey Duggee play and adventure land and live show, plus Jojo & Gran Gran and Andy’s Adventures attractions, as well as the new Bing live show and themed hotel rooms are incredibly exciting and add to what is already a rich portfolio of children’s brands in this dedicated land.”
