Disney CEO Bob Iger has played down the potential sale of Disney assets, saying that no decisions have been made regarding major sales.

Disney CEO Bob Iger has played down the potential sale of Disney assets, saying that no decisions have been made regarding major sales.

Speaking during a companywide town hall event, Iger told ABC News anchor David Muir: “I did not think everyone would run with a story that everything is being sold, which is not the case.”

Iger has been overseeing a modernisation and overhaul of the company since returning to Disney in 2022, with decisions taken including cost cuts, layoffs and a prioritisation of streaming profitability.

“I spent the year with the team fixing a lot of things,” said Iger. “But I feel we've just emerged from a period of a lot of fixing to one of building again.”
