Zootopia skyline taking shape at Shanghai Disneyland

While Shangai Disney Resort has not revealed an opening date for its Zootopia attraction, the immersive land is coming together with new images showing skyscrapers being lifted into the park for installation.

“We spent so much time going over 3D and physical models of different scales to get these site lines perfect,” said Morgan Lee Richardson, a former Imagineer now with Mangolin Creative. “The staging is great and I promise the view will be stunning!”

The Zootopia-themed land is expected to open in 2023 or 2024 and will be the econd major expansion since the resort opened in 2016. Based on the Disney IP, which is very popular in China, visitors will be invited to experience the mammalian metropolis of Zootopia “where anyone can be anything”.
