Leading rollercoaster manufacturer Zamperla has opened its first Twister Freeform coaster at Cedar Point in Ohio, US.
Called Wild Mouse, the new attraction is an updated version of Zamperla’s classic Twister rollercoaster and offers a unique ride experience with twists, a spiral drop, two wild mouse turns and a snapback, in a compact footprint.
It forms part of a major park expansion that has seen the addition of the Boardwalk, a new area boasting a new dining experience and several of the park’s existing attractions.
“The Twister Freeform is an updated version of our classic Twister Coaster,” said Zamperla president and CEO Antonio Zamperla.
“When we spoke with Cedar Point they asked us to provide an experience that gave a nod to the past, but offered a modern ride experience. We believe it is a great example of the next generation of Zamperla coasters.”
Commenting on the new attraction, Adam Sandy, sales and marketing director at Zamperla, said: “The ride is exciting, smooth and features the latest coaster technology. It’s a huge step from older Zamperla coasters and lays a new benchmark for our coaster quality.”
