There’s been a lot going on in the world of attractions over the last week. Here are some of the headlines:






There’s been a lot going on in the world of attractions over the last week. Here are some of the headlines:

• The Penguin immersive experience at San Diego Comic-Con Friday evening was evacuated after a fire broke out in a nearby building.
• Mercury exposure has seen three people hospitalised with the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium shut down for decontamination after a bulb containing the metal broke.
• The Residence Ensemble Schwerin in northeastern Germany has been added to Unesco's World Heritage List.
• Bubble Planet: An Immersive Experience - an attraction offering tactile play and virtual reality, is making its Canadian debut in Toronto on August 8.
• Disney has reached a tentative agreement with four unions representing thousands of workers at its California theme parks including ride operators, candy makers and parking attendants.
• Beginning August 26, 2024, Disney has announced that Jungle Cruise will temporarily close for refurbishment. The attraction is scheduled to reopen for guests before the winter holidays begin at Walt Disney World.
