The UK’s national tourism board VisitBritain is headed to Australia to host its first travel trade mission to the country since 2016.
The five-day event, helmed by VisitBritain chairman Nick De Bois, will take place in three major Australian cities: Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
It will connect Australian travel buyers and agents with 35 leading British tourism suppliers including: Historic Royal Palaces, ABBA Voyage, Liverpool Football Club Experiences, Alnwick Castle, VisitScotland, Experience Oxfordshire, Visit Birmingham & The West Midlands.
As well as showcasing the latest products and innovations, the event will also offer one-to-one byer appointments, education sessions and networking events.
“As the UK’s fourth most valuable visitor market and following record-breaking results in 2023, this mission provides a timely opportunity for British travel suppliers and destinations to get their tourism products in front of top Australian buyers and explore new business opportunities,” said De Bois.
The Travel Trade Mission will kick off in Sydney on Monday, September 9, before moving to Melbourne on Wednesday, September 11, ending in Brisbane on Friday, September 13.
