Universal Destinations & Experiences has said that as much as 92% of 6,000 local residents surveyed are in favour of plans for a Universal theme park in the UK.
Surveying communities near Kempston Hardwick and Bedford, where Universal has purchased 476 acres of land, the company said it was “delighted by the enthusiasm and overwhelmingly positive responses provided throughout the public engagement period”.
Of the 6,000 people surveyed only 4% were not supportive with a further 4% being unsure.
