US$70m Tropic Falls Indoor Water Park opens in Alabama

Following a short delay, a new flagship attraction has opened in Foley, Alabama, US, with the debut of the ProSlide-supplied Tropic Falls Indoor Water Park.

Covered by over 1,800 glass panels, the US$70m (€66.9m, £58m) indoor tropical escape is set to be the region's largest indoor waterpark.

Attractions include 11 water slides, some of which loop outside of the 65,000sq ft (6,000sq m) structure and some of which drop below floor level before coming back up. The waterpark also offers a lazy river and a children’s area. The complex also offers a retail store, a restaurant and a bar.

Later in the summer, additional features will include an outdoor wave pool with an integrated surf simulator, a tiki bar, a giant movie screen and a concert stage.
