The National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, UK, is offering its visitors the chance to quite literally immerse themselves in the attraction’s largest exhibit, with the aquarium now offering snorkelling sessions inside the 2.5 million litre Atlantic Ocean tank.
Exploring a purpose-built snorkelling pen, visitors will come face-to-face with more than 50 species of marine life, including turtles, stingrays and sharks.
“We’re very excited to be able to offer this exclusive experience to members of the public,” said Marcus Williams, curator at the National Marine Aquarium.
“Being immersed in the water with these stunning animals provides a truly up close and personal encounter, that really connects you with why it’s important to save our blue planet.”
The experience costs £200 for up to two people and lasts around 20 minutes. Participants must be at least 10 years old with under 16’s accompanied by an adult.
