UK’s National Marine Aquarium bounces back from Covid to make £1m profit

The National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, UK, has shown positive post-Covid recovery, with the attraction announcing profits of more than £1m in 2021.






The National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, UK, has shown positive post-Covid recovery, with the attraction announcing profits of more than £1m in 2021.

According to aquarium representatives, more than 220,000 people visited the attraction last year despite being closed for 104 days of the year thanks to Covid-19.

NMA Operations, the company which runs the National Marine Aquarium, announced operating profits of £1,007,255 - up from just £2,814 in the previous year. Covid lockdowns have cost the aquarium a reported £2m.
