Shanghai Disney Resort and McDonald’s China have announced a strategic alliance agreement for a multi-year collaboration that will see Disney products supplied as part of Chinese Happy Meals.
Inspired by Shanghai Disney’s attractions and characters, the official launch of the cooperation between the two parties will see Disney and McDonald’s work together to develop a range of themed toys to come alongside the iconic children’s meal.
In addition to the park-inspired toys, consumers at McDonald’s restaurants in China will also have the opportunity to win a surprise experience in the resort.
A current set of toys is available until March 29, with all seven available combining to form a fairytale train. Further sets will be released in the future.
“McDonald's encourages children to dare to dream and dare to act, providing each child with a world of free play and encouraging them to discover infinite possibilities,” said Zhang Jiayin, CEO of McDonald's China.
“Through the cooperation with Shanghai Disney Resort, we will present more exciting and unique experiences to consumers.”
