Compagnie des Alpes - the operator of Parc Astérix - has announced that the popular French attraction has broken its all-time attendance record, with 2,842,000 visitors coming to the theme park in 2024.

Continuing to be France’s second-most popular theme park behind Disney and one of Europe’s most-visited attractions, Parc Astérix has celebrated its 35th anniversary this year, with the addition of two major attractions - La Tour de Numérobis and the all-new musical C’est du Délire.

“The continuing growth in our visitor numbers and the enthusiasm surrounding our new attractions are testament to the quality of our offer and our ability to renew ourselves,” said Delphine Pons, general manager of Parc Astérix.

“We remain committed to investing in exceptional experiences that will captivate our visitors year after year.”

With significant investment in recent years, Park Astérix continues to invest for the 2025 season, with an expansion of its Gaulish zone to include the garage of the Village's famous blacksmith - Cetautomatix. Designed as a family spinning coaster, the Gerstlauer attraction sees riders board chariots to take on “steep inclines, tight bends and unpredictable acceleration”.

Parc Astérix is also introducing a new experience for the holiday season as part of the return of its Christmas in Gaul event later this year. Taking place from December 21st through to January 5th, Christmas in Gaul turns the popular theme park into a winter wonderland.
