A new immersive land dedicated to aviation will open at Carowinds theme park in North Carolina, US, this spring.
Called Aeronautica Landing, the land has been described as ‘a tribute to Carolina’s spirit of innovation, exploration and aviation, where guests can immerse themselves in the history and future of flight.’
It will feature five new attractions, four of which have been designed by Italian ride manufacturer Zamperla. Among the new additions are Gear Spin; a Zamperla NebulaZ, Air Walker; a Zamperla Disk’O’ and Air Racers; a Zamperla Air Race. Completing the line-up is a Zamperla Windstar Z attraction and Gyro Force, a Trabant-style ride.
A revamped bumper car attraction, four new midway games and a re-themed basketball game will also feature.
The area is completed by several F&B venues including an existing eatery, which has undergone a revamp, as well as a new Italian restaurant and snack bar.
