Two new attractions are set to open at Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America, with construction beginning on the rides this autumn.
The first of the new additions is called Boot’s Banana Swing and is inspired by Dora the Explorer. Set to open this Christmas, the attraction will see riders “monkey around” as they swing through the rainforest alongside Dora’s monkey sidekick Boots.
The second ride, called Fly with Appa, is themed around Avatar: The Last Airbender, and will see riders mount their own “loyal and loving” sky bison and take in aerial views as they travel “up, down and all around.” The ride is scheduled to open next spring.
To make way for the new rides the Bubble Guppies Guppy Bubbler attraction will temporarily close and relocate to a new section of the park.
