Polin Aquariums has announced the completion of its latest project - the first aquarium in Turkey’s Black Sea region.

Covering 3,500sq m (37,700sq ft), the aquarium is split into eight different zones, showcasing some of the world’s most exciting underwater habitats. The experience concludes with a 21m (69ft) underwater tunnel, which offers views of aquatic creatures all found in the Turkish seas.

Opened in Trabzon, this is the first aquarium to be built inside a road tunnel, one which connects the Zagnos and Tabakhane valleys of the region.
